Tomas DvorakandDevin 6661357963 feat(canvas): shared 26px grid + collision-free node placement
Nodes snapped to the dot-grid lattice on drop; occupied spots resolve
to the nearest free lattice cell instead of stacking. Same protection
inside groups (sibling-aware), on inspector assign, and on ungroup.

Tomas DvorakandDevin 7fc6ed1215 feat(canvas): full service cockpit on left-click + real grouping
The inspector is now a proper service panel: address with copy, group
assignment (Ungrouped / any group / "+ New group" wrapping the node),
masked env vars with a deep link into the service's Variables tab, a
config grid deep-linking to Config, inferred connections, and the
lifecycle actions. ServiceDetailPage honours ?section= for the deep
links.

Grouping is first-class: assign via the inspector or drag nodes onto a
frame; members slot beneath existing ones and the frame grows only as
needed instead of clamping or ballooning. Fixed a drag bug where moving
a member inside its own group ejected it.

Context menus everywhere: right-click a node (existing actions), a
group frame (Rename via inline edit, Ungroup keeps children in place),
or empty pane (Add service, Add group here, Tidy layout, Fit view).

Tomas DvorakandDevin d9bfd8a2fd feat(canvas): fullscreen workspace outside the app shell
Move /projects/:id and its service detail route out of PlatformShell —
the project view now owns the entire viewport like Railway's canvas:
no sidebar, no global nav, just the slim project bar over the graph.
Service detail inherits the same chrome-free context with a breadcrumb
back to the canvas, and back/delete navigation preserves ?demo=1.

Tomas DvorakandDevin 1425618c92 feat(canvas): brand tech icons on services, matching site preview
Resolve a service's tech (postgres, redis, go, node, nginx, kafka,
~50 slugs) from its image/name and render the Simple Icons logo in
the tinted icon tile — canvas nodes, inspector, service detail
header, and database rows — with graceful fallback to type icons.
Demo services get resolvable images, ports, and domains; a Redis
Cache service joins Core Platform so the demo canvas mirrors the
landing preview (5 services, web/api/worker → api → postgres/redis).

Tomas DvorakandDevin 894192bf9b feat(site): drop live demo, add Railway-style canvas preview
Remove all links to the deleted containr-app deployment and replace
the static hero screenshot with a CSS/HTML product mockup: a project
canvas with five icon-branded service nodes, connected edges (one
animated deploying edge), env/zoom/minimap pills, status dots,
domains, and image tags. Mobile gets a two-column layout with its
own edge paths.

Tomas DvorakandDevin e825eb0d7c feat(site): wire landing to deployed app demo
- All CTAs (nav, hero, install note, gallery, catalog, footer) link to
https://containr-app.vercel.app - the app frontend deployed as a
  public demo (VITE_PUBLIC_DEMO build).
- templates.html: per-template "Open in demo app" deep links via
?template=<id>; dead default API removed so the official snapshot
renders instantly until an instance is configured with ?api=.
- Hero canvas screenshot updated to the fullscreen canvas build.

Tomas DvorakandDevin 5b0a8e0759 feat(app): unified demo mode + public-demo build for Vercel
- Central demo-mode helper (lib/demo-mode.ts): ?demo=1 query flag plus
VITE_PUBLIC_DEMO build flag that makes every route demo for the
  public Vercel showcase.
- Single demo fixture source (lib/demo-data.ts): projects, services,
builds, databases, cron, HA, security, host monitoring, templates.
Fixes cross-page ID drift that broke project navigation.
- Demo support on Projects, HA, Security, Usage, Templates, Landing,
Service detail; DemoRestricted gate on People/Settings/Audit/Admin.
- Demo-aware PlatformShell: nav filtering, env:demo, demo account menu,
  ?demo=1 preserved through internal links.
- TemplatesPage: selection moved into ?template= URL param for deep
links; template fixtures shared via demo-data.
- requestJson returns {} for unparseable 200 bodies (SPA fallback) so
envelope unwraps degrade instead of dereferencing null.
- Recharts ResponsiveContainer initialDimension kills -1 warnings.
- vercel.json: vite framework + SPA rewrites for direct deep links.

Tomas DvorakandDevin e57f0470eb feat(canvas): fullscreen Railway-style workspace canvas
Rebuild the project canvas as a full-viewport graph instead of a boxed
66vh panel. Slim workspace top bar now holds the view tabs, project meta
and actions; the canvas fills all remaining space.

- Floating glass controls: env filter + group pill (top-left), zoom out /
live zoom % / zoom in / fit / tidy pill (bottom-left), dark MiniMap
  (bottom-right), hint chip, demo badge.
- Inspector panel: selecting a node opens a right-side glass panel with
status, image, address, inferred connections incl. variable reasons,
and deploy/restart/stop/delete actions. Esc or pane click closes.
- Auto-layout: dependency-depth layered layout (consumers left,
datastores right) for first-visit placement and the Tidy action.
Unpositioned services park right of existing bounds, not at (0,0).
- Nodes: fixed 240px width (was 210 vs 220-280 CSS mismatch), per-type
icons/colors incl. cron, spinner icon while deploying, hover lift.
- Edges: lime bezier strokes, animated dashes while either endpoint is
deploying, hover glow updated from stale purple to accent.
- Groups: off-brand crimson replaced with accent tokens, double-click
  title to rename inline.
- Keyboard: F fit, 0 reset zoom, +/- zoom, Esc deselect. Marquee select
on Shift-drag. Double-click zoom disabled, dead connection drags off.
- Mobile: icon-only tabs, minimap/hint hidden under md.
- Retake docs/screenshots/canvas.png + site copy (1600x900 demo).

Tomas DvorakandDevin 117b469fae feat: public template catalog + Vercel git integration
Backend: service_templates.is_public lets owners publish user templates to
the anonymous catalog (GET /api/v1/templates), mirroring Railway's
marketplace publish flow. Migration, sqlc queries, visibility rules, and
openapi.yaml updated; types regenerated.

App: template editor gains a "List in the public catalog" checkbox;
Public badge on catalog cards and detail view.

Site: new templates.html catalog page - search, category filters, Official
vs Community badges, detail modal with variables and copyable import JSON.
Fetches the live catalog from a reachable instance (?api= or localStorage
override) and falls back to templates.json, generated from SeedTemplates
via cmd/dumptemplates. Shared styles extracted to style.css.

Vercel: project connected to GitHub repo with rootDirectory=site;
.vercelignore limits CLI uploads to site/ so `vercel deploy --prod` from
repo root matches git builds.

Tomas DvorakandDevin a99f2e461e feat(ci): release pipeline on merge to main
After tests + image publish, a release job bumps the tag via
conventional commits (github-tag-action, default_bump=false so
docs/chore merges skip releasing), retags :main images in GHCR as
semver+latest (tag pushes via GITHUB_TOKEN do not retrigger CI),
cross-compiles the CLI for 5 platforms, and cuts a GitHub Release
with generated notes and checksums. Manual v* tag pushes get the
same release treatment. CLI --version now reports the tag via the
previously dead -X ldflags.

Tomas DvorakandDevin 8b6214a0f5 feat: public platform, admin console, templates, landing docs
Projects become publicly browsable after admin approval; management and
secret-adjacent reads (logs, variables, exec, connection URLs) require
owner/member/admin auth, and platform controls sit behind RequireAdmin.

- Backend: OptionalAuth middleware, read/authed/admin route groups,
  projects.is_approved + service_templates.owner_id migration,
visibility-aware sqlc queries, admin overview/users/approval endpoints,
EnsureAdminAccount bootstrap (ADMIN_* env), 30 seeded templates with
owner CRUD, managed-database connection URLs gated owner+admin, fix
  DB.Stats() infinite recursion.
- Frontend: expandable persisted sidebar + clickable user menu, public
landing page with searchable docs browser (GitHub sync, bundled
snapshot + localStorage fallback), DocsBrowser shared with /docs,
template create/edit/JSON-upload for owned templates, database create
dialog, admin console (stats, approvals, project edit/delete, user
admin toggles), HA/Security/Usage polish with dead CSS tokens mapped
to real theme vars, anonymous-safe gating on every mutation control.
- Tests: safe window.localStorage access fixes happy-dom crashes in
  PlatformShell and canvas storage.

Tomas DvorakandDevin 3bf44dbcd5 Add global recent-deployments feed for the projects dashboard
The RECENT DEPLOYMENTS section queried the builds table, so
image-sourced services — which deploy without building — never
appeared and the dashboard reported "no deployments yet" while
containers were running.

- GET /api/v1/deployments lists latest deployments across the
caller's services, joined with service + project names, ordered
  newest-first with a bounded limit
- ProjectsPage consumes it via listRecentDeployments; the DEPLOYS
stat card now counts real deployments
- is_admin is now projected in register/upsert user responses, and
the Better Auth mirror grants admin to the first mirrored account
(previously only the legacy register path did)

Tomas DvorakandDevin b7e2e93261 fix: polish service runtime UX and harden reconcile edge cases
Backend:
- tolerate concurrent project-network creation (re-resolve on conflict)
- always publish an ephemeral host port when a port is configured, even
with a domain set — Traefik routes on top when the edge network exists
- public_url now prefers the configured domain, falls back to the first
  published port
- service logs resolve replicas by containr.service label and merge all
replica streams — previously queried a nonexistent containr-<id> name

Canvas/detail:
- degraded status renders amber end-to-end (node card, detail badge,
status dot) instead of falling through to "Stopped"
- edges pick handle sides by relative node position — no more backward
loops when the source sits right of the target
- context menu gains Start for stopped services, Visit uses the
published URL when no domain is set, menu clamps to canvas bounds
- node cards show the image tag instead of a redundant hint
- scaling tab falls back to live runtime replica counts when no
autoscaler state exists; manual scale no longer requires it

Tomas DvorakandDevin ff356230fe feat: real service runtime — private networks, replicas, lifecycle, rollback
Services now reconcile into actual Docker containers instead of
bookkeeping rows:

- Per-project bridge network with service-name DNS aliases and
  ${{service.KEY}} env expansion (HOST/PORT builtins)
- Replicas, published ports, Traefik domain routing, health checks,
restart policies persisted on the service spec; spec-hash drift
  recreates containers on redeploy
- Lifecycle API: start/stop/restart/redeploy, live runtime state,
real image rollback (replaces the fake sleep)
- Manual scale and PUT replicas reconcile live containers; service
and project delete remove their containers and the project network
- Canvas: real URLs, replica badges, env filter, right-click
  deploy/restart/stop/delete menu, empty state
- Service detail: real lifecycle buttons, live replica/URL strip,
Networking editor, ${{ }} variable helper
- Fix prebuilt-image pulls racing the tag (drain the pull stream)

Tomas DvorakandDevin c16b32f56a feat: owner accounts and in-app platform settings
- First registered account becomes admin (users.is_admin, backfilled
to earliest account); better-auth mirror path does the same
- Public registration closes after bootstrap; admin can reopen it via
  GET/PUT /api/v1/settings (admin-gated) or SIGNUP_ENABLED env
- In-app settings override env vars; secrets stored in app_settings,
token values never returned by the API
- Saving a Cloudflare Tunnel token pulls and runs a managed
  cloudflared sidecar on the backend's networks; clearing removes it;
startup restores it from saved settings
- group_add DOCKER_GID grants the non-root backend user Docker socket
access; install.sh probes the in-container socket gid
- Settings page gains an owner-only Platform section (registration
toggle, tunnel token, link to Cloudflare dashboard); sign-up page
stays reachable while registration is open
- OpenAPI spec + generated types updated; manual user creation now
  requires admin

Tomas DvorakandDevin 060038cb6f feat: swap Redis for Dragonfly, fix remote installs, self-hosted email-only auth
- Replace redis:7-alpine with Dragonfly (Redis-protocol compatible; go-redis
client unchanged) in root, infra, and backend-dev compose files. Bounded
defaults --proactor_threads/--maxmemory so it boots on small VPSs.
- Frontend now defaults to same-origin API calls; nginx proxies /api/* to the
backend (WebSocket-aware, docker DNS resolver for upstream re-resolution).
Removes the baked localhost:8082 that broke installs reached by IP/domain.
- /auth/bootstrap returns configured OAuth providers; the UI hides
GitHub/Google buttons unless real credentials exist. Self-hosted stays
email/password only - OAuth reserved for a future managed offering.
- Sidecar ignores PLACEHOLDER_* OAuth credentials and trusts same-host
origins dynamically (Origin host == request Host) so remote installs pass
origin checks without config; cross-origin requests still rejected.
- install.sh writes ENVIRONMENT=production; COOKIE_SECURE=false in
production is now a startup warning instead of fatal (plain-HTTP installs).
- Bootstrap failure surfaces an error notice instead of silently rendering
  the sign-in page.

Tomas DvorakandDevin a083c30d76 fix(auth): bump better-auth to 1.6.33, node to 22
- CVE-2026-53514 (HIGH): better-auth <1.6.11 vulnerable to
  unverified-email invitation acceptance; pinned 1.6.33 (1.7.x breaks
the migration introspection + schema check on this setup)
- qs override to >=6.16.0 clears moderate DoS via express
- kysely audit fix pulled 0.29.x requiring node>=22; node:20 is EOL
anyway - both Dockerfiles now on node:22-alpine, matching CI
- npm audit: 0 vulnerabilities; e2e verified (migrations run,
  sign-up returns session)

Tomas DvorakandDevin c07ae2bef6 ci: build images on every change, add install script
- docker job: buildx + GHA cache, GHCR push on main/tags via
  metadata-action tags, Trivy scan (report-only)
- fix: tag pushes now trigger the workflow so releases publish images
- root compose: parameterized host ports, backend healthcheck,
  frontend waits for healthy backend
- install.sh: generates .env secrets, builds, boots, waits for health
- README: easy-install section, port remap docs, CI badge

Tomas DvorakandDevin d0bdf0a441 ci: retry frontend smoke check
nginx needs a few seconds for its entrypoint scripts; the single-shot
curl raced the container start. Same retry loop as the backend check,
with a log dump on failure.

Tomas DvorakandDevin 0f984fb579 ci: inject throwaway auth secrets into smoke boot
Production validation rejects the compose placeholder secrets, so the
backend panicked at config load and the container went unhealthy.
Generate ephemeral BETTER_AUTH_SECRET and BETTER_AUTH_INTERNAL_TOKEN
per run; verified locally that the container reaches healthy.

Tomas DvorakandDevin 2e7da73b1c fix: un-ignore internal/build package
The build/ rule shadowed app/backend/internal/build; the !internal/build/
negation only matched the repo root. Package was never committed, breaking
CI backend tests and the Docker image build.

Tomas DvorakandDevin 25e4f676a9 feat: persist scaling policies to Postgres
Adds scaling_policies table and wires the autoscaler: upsert on every
SetScalingPolicy (including delete-as-disable), LoadPolicies hydrates
policies + service states at boot. Persist failures are logged, never
fatal — in-memory state stays authoritative.

Verified live: policy written on POST, survives a full backend restart,
service state re-registers at min_replicas. Also gofmt-fixes the
drifted databases.go struct tags.

Tomas DvorakandDevin b61203f908 ci: compose boot smoke + GHCR image publish
Adds a smoke job that boots postgres/redis/backend/frontend/traefik via
docker compose, polls the backend /health endpoint, verifies the
frontend responds, and tears down. Adds a tag-gated images job that
builds and pushes backend/frontend images to GHCR on v* tags.

Tomas DvorakandDevin cec7d92e83 docs: sync guides to verified behavior
Rewrites AUTOSCALING.md — it was generic Cloudflare/Swarm advice that
predated the platform autoscaler. Now documents the real /scaling API,
per-service policy fields, manual scale, and the in-memory caveat.

Adds OPERATIONS.md covering cron jobs, exec console, managed databases,
preview environments (bookkeeping-only caveat), security scans
(heuristic, not Trivy), HA, and node-agent onboarding.

Tomas DvorakandDevin f357c7adee feat: service exec console
POST /services/:id/exec runs a one-off sh -c command inside the
service's container via ExecRun (30s ceiling, 64KB output cap), with
the standard service→project ownership check. Console section on the
service detail page submits commands and renders captured output with
exit codes.

Verified live: real exec output, stderr + exit code propagation, 404 on
foreign service, 401 unauthenticated, 400 on empty command.
